Chagrin Falls - Wall Art Photo Print
These beautiful falls are in the heart of this bustling town. Chagrin Falls, Ohio is known for its village lifestyle and is a popular destination for visitors. The falls were named after François Seguin, a French trader who traded with Native Americans in the 1700s. The river was originally called "Shaguin" after Seguin, but later became known as the Chagrin River. The first settlers arrived in 1833, building homes around the river after profiting from the mills. The village of Chagrin Falls was incorporated in 1844. In the 1800s, the falls were the center of Northeast Ohio's industrial activity, powering nine mills that produced axes, paper, and woodenware. The Chagrin River is a State Scenic River, and the river valley is home to many species of plants, birds, and fish.
